District Council is the main decision-making body in between District Annual Meetings. This group meets the third Monday of each month (excluding January & April), and is composed of the branch presidents from each school or their assigned designate, District Executive members, Committee Chairs, FEAWG representative, ARM representative, and our Provincial Executive Liaison.
At each meeting, the District Council hears reports prepared by Executive members, Committee Chairs, Standing Committees (as needed), and Provincial OSSTF to update members on issues and events that are upcoming and may be of interest to D22 members. This body also proposes and passes motions to address issues as they arise throughout the year. This body amends and approves the annual Draft Budget to be sent to the District Annual Meeting for approval.
Branch Presidents bring forward school and district-based concerns at these meetings to discuss and determine potential solutions.
